The quartet Luciano Maio e Orchestra has its roots in the folkgroup Taberna Mylaensis, which under their musical leader Luciano has become well-known with the Italian public about their beautiful traditional music from and about the island Sicily.
Luciano Maio is born in 1950 in Milazzo, Sicily. His mission in life is spreading the Sicilian culture. In the form of artwork, poetry, paintings, singer, fisherman, sculptures, songwriter and componist.
The passion Luciano has for ‘his’ island you will hear directly in his music, straight from the heart.
