Trio Tamicos

This Antillean-Cuban-Mexican swing band (consisting of 2 to 5 persons) brings a program that consists of a varied swinging cocktail of the Caribbean repertoire. With many Antillean influences, swinging Cuban salsa, merengue and calypso from the West Indies. Irresistible dance music. But also stylish and bachata boleros for a tropical 'ambience' are included. The sound of Tamicos is determined mainly by the strong vocals, acoustic guitar, mandolin and the Cuban tres, a traditional percussion and driving bass.

In 1985 Luthson 'Lucho' Iñesio came to Amsterdam with a suitcase full of Caribbean music. With his powerful, deep bronze voice and the heavy duty rhythm guitar he was already famous in Curacao. 'Lucho' and Gerry, the base of the band, have always had a love for the Curaçao folklore and Mexican mariachi style. Dressed in Latin style they greet guests with instrumental music or songs.
